During the summer of 1946, Martin Elkort was a counselor at Camp Onibar, a summer camp in the Poconos. Already 100% committed to mastering the art of photography, Martin used his time at summer camp to further hone his photography skills. With the fresh faces of kids as well as the young counselors, camp provided the pefect new subject material. There he shot whenever he could. Arts and crafts classes, swimming lessons, having a haircut, to just being a kid out wading in a creek, the experience of summer and youth can be felt in this collection of photographs.
